Simple Thanks

My oldest son needed some Thank You cards, so I whipped these up right quick! I think they turned out quite nice - as nice as any boxed set I would've bought... and a heck of a lot cheaper (and LOTS more fun to make)!

These were made using a set of smaller notecards (#131527, $5.95 for 20) - perfect for a teenager who doesn't want to have to get too "wordy" in his cards. :) I used Cherry Cobbler, Island Indigo, and Old Olive along with a stamp from the new Another Thank You Photopolymer set (#133454, $13.95). Then I added a bit of pizzazz with one of the Needlepoint embossing folders. Couldn't have been easier!

Enjoy the rest of your week!

September Paper Pumpkin!

This month's Paper Pumpkin came with a fantastically fun WAHOO! stamp! I had a blast creating several cards to show to my Paper Pumpkin subscribers. Here are just a few... if you'd like to see all of them, I can send you my PDF instruction sheet which contains all 10 cards I made. This PDF is available for $5 via PayPal. Contact me for details.

If you have not yet joined Paper Pumpkin, you still can! It's a lot of fun to receive a box in the mail each month with surprise goodies... and remember, you don't have to create the same thing they did. I enjoy seeing what else I can come up with!

Wahoo! It's the weekend! Enjoy yours!

Clean & Simple

Oh, I'm so sorry for neglecting this blog! Life with 3 boys (2 of whom are teenagers) is taking its toll on this Mom's time!! ...but it's all worth it, believe me - they're all such good kids. And believe it or not, my oldest just turned 16... holy cow!!!

Here's a fun card I made a while back... I got the inspiration here.

I love the contrast of the black with the other colors. On mine, I used Pool Party, Crumb Cake, Smoky Slate, and Basic Gray. A couple of the circles are popped up with Dimensionals, and there's a Rhinestone because us girls just gotta have a little bling before anything's declared complete!

Gotta run... Mom's Taxi service is about to go on duty... (the aforementioned 16-year old has a few more months of permit-driving before he can take over!)

A New Cousin!

One of my precious cousins just had her first baby - a gorgeous baby girl! I made this simple card to congratulate her...

Colors are Pink Pirouette and Pistachio Pudding.  I embossed the baby's initials on both the card and the envelope. Since I'll be mailing this one, I didn't go crazy with ribbons or pearls - as much as I wanted to! But the fun Candy Dots add just enough detail and allow me to use a regular stamp. Perfect!

Have a fabulous weekend, everyone!
