Christmas Iris Folding

I wasn't too crazy about these two cards, but every time someone sees them, they just oooh and aaaah, so I thought it only fair that I display them for the world. This is a technique called Iris Folding. This is a very basic design - probably the simplest Iris folding design out there! It's a fun way to use up scraps of your Designer Series Paper (DSP).

The one above uses scraps from Dashing DSP along with Real Red and Old Olive cardstock, and the one below uses scraps from Wintergreen DSP along with Sage Shadow and Always Artichoke cardstock.

Maybe after the hustle and bustle of the holidays is over, I can create a tutorial showing you how to do this. The funnest part is that you don't really know what it's going to look like until you are finished and turn it over... sometimes it can take your breath away!! But as I mentioned, these particular cards didn't exactly have that effect on me. :o)
